Highland Spring goes pink for Breast Cancer Care

Wednesday, 28 April 2010

Highland Spring is blushing pink as it launches an exclusive handbag size ‘hint of pink’ bottle in association with Breast Cancer Care to help raise valuable funds to support the 46,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.

Available in a 6 x 500ml pack, the bottles will be sold in Tesco stores nationwide.

The stylish packs, with ‘hint of pink’ bottles, feature Breast Cancer Care’s logo and communicate that 10p from the sale of every 6 pack will go directly to the charity.

Commenting on the new product, Paul Condron, head of brand marketing for Highland Spring said: “We are passionate supporters of Breast Cancer Care and have worked on a number of marketing campaigns with our colleagues at the charity to help build awareness and generate valuable funds.   We hope the stylish packaging, handy size and very worthy cause for our new pink bottles will appeal to consumers and help us continue to raise valuable funds for this vital charity.”

Murray Lindo, director of fundraising at Breast Cancer Care said: “We are delighted to be extending our successful partnership with Highland Spring this year with the ‘hint of pink’ bottles. We have been working together since 2000 and are extremely grateful for all the support we have received from Highland Spring over these years.

"Every 11 minutes, somebody in the UK hears the news that they have breast cancer, and we want to offer support to each and every one of them, and their friends and families, right from the moment of diagnosis, through to living with the disease.

"The support from Highland Spring will not only generate vital funds, but will ensure more people know where to turn should they need us.”

Highland Spring has a long-standing relationship with Breast Cancer Care. In 2004 the company launched its ‘Pure & Natural’ cause related marketing campaign which raised in excess of £350,000 for the charity and involved an exciting on-pack promotion to recruit runners for the New York Marathon in 2005.
